Dr. Kiran Peddi is an internationally trained senior consultant gastroenterologist and IBD specialist with clinical experience across the UK, Australia, and India. He currently leads the Centre of Excellence in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, Hyderabad and serves as the CEO of GastroCare Clinics, a fast-growing chain of gastro-focused outpatient clinics across India.
Renowned for his expertise in complex IBD, advanced endoscopy, and evidence-based digestive health, Dr. Peddi has built a reputation as a respected clinician, teacher, and researcher. He is actively involved in national and international academic work, contributes to clinical guidelines, and mentors students, trainees, and practicing physicians.
He is co-founder of Oslers Academy that trains doctors towards MRCP. He is one of the few International MRCP (UK) examiners in India and played a crucial role in bringing the MRCP international exam centre to Hyderabad. He has trained more than 2,500 medical students at an individual level through his Internal Medical Modules over the last 6 years.
Dr. Peddi is recognised for combining deep clinical expertise with entrepreneurial vision, aiming to elevate digestive healthcare, empower patients, and make advanced gastroenterology services accessible and future-ready. He is an active member of APMA (Asia Pacific Middle East and African) alliance in IBD.
As SAIA’s Medical Advisor, Dr. Peddi has hosted several events on the ground in India. IBD Update (2022) in collaboration with SAIA, was the first of its kind conference in India to host an exclusive patient empowerment session, featuring 6 of SAIA’s Patient Advocates. In 2023, Yashoda Hospital, in collaboration with SAIA, hosted India’s first IBD Walk in Hyderabad, and over 500 people joined the walk. In 2024, Dr. Peddi organized IBD Conclave 1.0 at Yashoda Hospital in association with SAIA.
