SAIA is honored to announce our first foray into DGBI research as recently published in the Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology!
Dr. Tiffany Taft of SAIA & Rome Foundation co-authored this article with SAIA’s CEO Tina Aswani-Omprakash and Johannah Ruddy, Senior Director of Patient Advocacy at Ardelyx. The commentary reviews the impact of medical misogyny in disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI) and the role cultural sensitivity plays in reforming training & improving outcomes.
At SAIA, we believe in proliferating cultural sensitivity and humility training in order to prevent medical misogyny and improve outcomes in DGBI for all communities.
